I’m Danny Ferrer, owner of Preferred Moving Company, and Miami Lakes is one of the few genuinely planned communities in the county — laid out around its namesake lakes up in northwest Dade, with tidy neighborhoods, a walkable Main Street, and a suburban calm you don’t find closer to the city. My crew runs it regularly, an easy shot up the Palmetto (826) from our Wynwood warehouse.
Because Miami Lakes was master-planned, the moves are refreshingly orderly: consistent single-family homes, well-kept townhome villages, and a share of lakefront properties. Streets are wide, HOAs are organized, and some townhome and condo associations ask for a certificate of insurance — which we file for you before move day so nothing holds up the truck.
