Are you a moving company?
Yes — Preferred Moving Company is a fully licensed and insured Miami, FL moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crew, with a Florida intrastate mover registration and US DOT and MC authority.
How much does a local Miami move run with your crew?
Two of our movers with a truck is a flat $155 an hour, and three movers with a truck is $205 an hour, both with a one-hour minimum. Blankets, dollies, and shrink-wrap ride along at no charge, and Yesenia puts the flat number in writing before anything gets loaded.
Can your team handle the COI and freight elevator for my condo building?
That's Andre Beaumont's specialty. We file the certificate of insurance with your building management, reserve the freight elevator, and lock a loading-dock time window ahead of move day, so nothing at a Brickell, Downtown, or Aventura tower stalls when the crew shows up.
¿Hablan español? Can the whole move be done in Spanish?
Sí, se habla español. I grew up bilingual in Miami and built the company that way — Yesenia runs the office in English or Spanish, and our crews speak both, so you and your building staff never lose anything in translation.
What happens if my move date falls during hurricane season?
From June through November our office watches the tropics closely. If a named storm is tracking toward South Florida, we'll help you move up your date and get loaded ahead of it rather than gamble on the weather — and we flex around active watches and warnings for safety.
Do you also move households out of state?
We do. Our US DOT and MC authority covers interstate moves, and Wilkens Joseph runs our snowbird corridor north on I-95 — Miami to Orlando, Atlanta, and up toward New York — with the same crew loading you here and delivering at the other end.
Once we agree on the flat rate, can it still go up on move day?
No. We size the job first and write a binding flat total you sign before we load. As long as the inventory doesn't change, the figure on booking day is the figure you pay — the building's elevator and dock fees are already priced in.
What coverage protects my belongings on the truck?
Released-value protection at $0.60 per pound rides on every job at no charge. Need more peace of mind? You can upgrade to full-value coverage, which extends up to $1,000,000 of cargo protection on a single shipment.
Will the same crew that loads me also unload at the new place?
Yes. On a local Miami-Dade move, the movers who carry everything out are the same ones who set it down at your new address — we don't swap in a fresh crew or hand the job to a subcontractor partway through.
Can you pack the entire house before move day?
Absolutely. Marcus Delgado's full-pack crew comes the day before and wraps everything — dishes, mirrors, closets, artwork — so move day itself is nothing but loading the truck and heading to the new place.
